Global Partnerships Social Investment Fund 6.0 Metric Set

The Global Partnerships Social Investment Fund 6.0 (SIF 6.0) makes loans to social enterprises – including microfinance institutions, cooperatives, global development NGOs and other social businesses – that require working capital to deliver essential products and services to households living in poverty in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. SIF 6.0 is an impact-led fund whose purpose is to expand opportunity for people living in poverty, while delivering stable, fixed income level financial returns to socially motivated investors. The fund will initially invest in Microentrepreneurship (credit with integrated education), Rural Livelihoods (credit for small lot farmers integrated with crop technical assistance and access to markets), Health (access to health education, services and medicines), and Green Technology (access to solar-powered products). It is anticipated the fund will invest in additional initiatives over its life.
