Measuring Impact: Subject Paper of the Impact Measurement Working Group

A subject paper from the Working Group on Impact Measurement, co-chaired by the GIIN and directed by the Social Impact Investment Taskforce established under the UK’s presidency of the G8. With input from over 30 leading impact measurement practitioners, the report acknowledges IRIS as a core component of an impact measurement process. The paper also includes recommended guidelines reinforcing a vision for convergence to a standardized impact measurement approach in the long term.

"Widely acknowledged examples of credible impact measurement initiatives in impact investing include IRIS, which provides a catalog of generally-accepted performance metrics that impact investors use to measure social, environmental, and financial success."
