Organizations should include both paid and unpaid time spent volunteering, either for company-organized events or for employee-initiated activities.
Organizations are also encouraged to footnote the hours contributed during traditional work hours and the hours contributed outside of traditional working hours. Traditional working hours can be defined by the organization and should be footnoted.
