Usage Guidance

  • This metric is intended to capture the GHG emissions of the product that is being replaced by the organization's product, over the lifetime of the organization's product. For example, an organization that sells solar lights might report the product replaced as being a kerosene lamp and would report the GHG emissions during the lifetime of the organization's solar light.
