IRIS+ and PRISM

An impact fund performance assessment platform that integrates fund performance with the performance of each portfolio company, then calibrates that impact against the context in which the impact is achieved.

PRISM is an impact fund performance assessment platform.  By leveraging IRIS metrics, PRISM reinforces the relevance of a global measurements standards.

PRISM stands for Portfolio, Risk, Impact, and Sustainability Measurement, and is built by integrating the fund's performance with the performance of each portfolio company, then calibrating that impact against the context in which the impact is acheived. Fund Performance is measured by the Fund Sustainability, Intent, and Contribution Score (FSIC Score), and the performance of portfolio companies is measured by the Portfolio IMpact Assessment Score (PIA Score).

Context is created by calibrating those two scores against impact potential (i.e. "what is" vs. "what could be") in a given sector, geography, or relationship. In particular, PRISM considers the potential impact in a given geographical area, the potential impact given the financial instrument used, and the potential for impact at the stage of investment in a portfolio company. Select IRIS metrics are included in the PRISM assessment for organizations operating in developed and emerging markets.
