The IRIS initiative produces reports and analyses that allow organizations and investors to better understand their performance relative to their peers and relative to the broader impact investing field. Data for these reports are contributed voluntarily by funds and companies via IRIS partner organizations, with the knowledge that the data will be used only to produce anonymous aggregate reports. IRIS Data Briefs
IRIS data briefs provide snapshots of the aggregate performance of organizations contributing data to the IRIS initiative. The briefs include summary statistics of the full data set, as well as focused analyses on specific topics.
The focus of the first IRIS Data Brief, published in 2013 and including performance data from more than 4,000 organizations, is employment.
IRIS Data Reports
In 2011, the GIIN published its first data report using data from the IRIS database. This report summarizes early findings from 2,394 organizations that work with impact investment intermediaries.
